The world awakens, still and gray, A silence hangs, in a vacant way, The streets, once filled with life and sound, Now lie empty, without a soul around

Their loved ones gone, without a goodbye
Left to face the tribulation’s darkened sky

The once blue heavens, now a deep despair
A sense of hopelessness, beyond repair
The earth lies barren, devoid of delight
A desolate landscape, without a glimmer of light
The cities stand, as empty shells
A haunting reminder, of what once dwelled
The parks, the schools, the homes, the streets
All vacant now, a hollow, gnawing defeat
The sounds of chaos, the cries of pain

Echo through the void, like a driving rain
The ones who remained, in a desperate plight
Scramble to make sense, of the endless night
Their questions echo, through the vacant air
“Where did they go?” “Why were we left to despair?”
Their voices fade, into the emptiness
As they face the terrors, of the tribulation’s mess
The world is broken, shattered and worn
A reflection of the hearts, that were left to mourn
The ones who remained, in a desperate search
For answers, for hope, for a gentle touch
But for now, they’re left, to face the day
Alone and adrift, in a world gone astray
The morning after, the Rapture’s call
A desolate landscape, for one and all.
